Wood Blue

Wood Blue was originally drawn in a purple oil pastel. Finding repeat patterns in leaves and organic forms is something that I find helpful when building compositions. This drawing is A4 in size, the electric blue base note sets off the hot colours.

Copying from nature? You're the man, mate! This is a blue that craves to be caressed. I am a blue man, by the way (and black and grey). Many thanks for such a fantastic pressie for my eyes. The patterns are magnificent.

Greetings from London.

I used to hate the color blue. Now decades later I have learned I enjoy it especially with red. This piece is very vibrant...I like!~
